You can add a donation prompt to your checkout flow, giving customers the option to contribute to a charity of your choice when completing a booking. If you operate in the UK, you can also enable Gift Aid to increase the value of each donation by 25%.

Enable donations

1

Open charity settings

Go to your account settings and select the charity section.
2

Turn on donations

Toggle donations on and enter the name and description of the charity. You can also upload an image that appears alongside the donation prompt at checkout.
3

Enable Gift Aid (optional)

If your charity is eligible for Gift Aid, toggle the Gift Aid option. When enabled, customers see a Gift Aid form during checkout where they can provide their details for HMRC.

How it works

When donations are enabled, a donation box appears during checkout. Customers can:
  • Choose from suggested donation amounts or enter a custom amount
  • Skip the donation entirely — it is always optional
The donation is added to the basket alongside any bookings, shop products, or other items. Payment for the full basket (including the donation) is processed through Stripe in a single transaction.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a UK tax scheme that lets charities claim an extra 25% on donations from UK taxpayers at no additional cost to the donor. When you enable Gift Aid in your charity settings, the donation box expands to include a short form where donors provide:
FieldRequired for Gift Aid
Title (e.g. Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr)No
First nameYes
Last nameYes
Home addressYes
CityYes
PostcodeYes
CountryYes
The donor must also accept the Gift Aid declaration confirming they are a UK taxpayer.
Gift Aid details are stored with the donation record. You can use this information when submitting Gift Aid claims to HMRC.

Viewing donations

Donations appear as line items in the basket and are included in your standard financial reports. Each donation record includes:
  • The donation amount
  • The charity name
  • Whether Gift Aid was claimed
  • The donor’s details (if Gift Aid was enabled)

Exporting donations

You can export donation data as a CSV file from the financial dashboard. The export includes only successful donations and contains all the details you need for reporting or Gift Aid claims.
1

Open the export dialog

Go to the financial dashboard and click Export Data, then select Donations from the dropdown.
2

Set a date range

Choose a start and end date to filter donations by when they were purchased. You can also use the quick-select options for common ranges like today, last seven days, or month to date.
3

Filter by payment option (optional)

Use the payment option toggles to include or exclude specific payment methods. By default all payment options are included. See export filters for details on available options.
4

Export donations

Click Export to download the CSV file.
The exported CSV includes the following columns:
